The Impact of Project Manager’s Skills and Age on Project Success

Goal: This study seeks to examine project success in relation managers’ factors. Pertaining research questions, we highlighted: “do manager’s technical, conceptual, political and human skills are significantly related success?, does age play a significant role achieving success?
 Design / Methodology Approach: employed quantitative method using survey questionnaires collect data from 400 managers working five well-known construction companies Cairo, Egypt. Descriptive statistics Relative Importance Index (RII) were rank the dimensions of skills: skills; dimensions: cost, schedule quality. Multiple regression analysis was used identify impact on while simple linear relationship between success
 Results: The results RII revealed that maintain competitive level skills, emphasize specific aspects schedule, quality success. 49.2% explained variation can be accounted for political, conceptual at coefficient determination values 0.611, 0.506, 0.431 0.407 respectively had no association with P value 0.694 alpha 0.05.
 Limitations investigation: Generalizing findings might challenged because sample size randomly selected due lack identifying exact target population.
 Practical implications: managerial implication this lies need not consider as factor success, instead they ensure possess skills.
